{..} and you’ll be alone—always and forever.
New post for The Originals season 1
He’s my brother. We remain together.

“I did it in the moment. We shot that from several angles, and for some reason, he was just so close to me in that take, and I felt so sad for him threatening me, and he seemed particularly lost and lonely in that one — I was just overwhelmed, and I touched his face. I remember even Joe commented right after the take. He said, “I loved how you did that.” I was so delighted to see that in the cut.” — Daniel Gillies
There will be no tenderness, no tenderness
I will show no mercy for you, you had no mercy for me
The only thing that I ask, love me mercilessly

I WANT TO BE KING
He had been six when Rebekah entered this world. From the start, he had been the one to watch her, as Finn and Elijah were too old to care for children and Kol too young. When she grew strong enough to venture off on adventures with him, Nik would take Rebekah off to the fields where they could play without the taunting eyes of their father and brothers. It was in those fields that Niklaus taught Rebekah which berries were safe to eat, and how to find mice. Rebekah would lay on the grass plucking flowers with her pudgy fingers, listening to him dream about the battles he would fight when Mikael gave him his first sword. She would weave them both crowns of thistles, thorns, and flowers. It was the first time anyone had called him a King. It wouldn’t be the last.
“I’m not innocent. Maybe that’s why they hate us. For reminding them that innocence is just an illusion and that if you scratch the surface, we’re dark and maggoty all the way down to the bone. We’re animals and we’re guilty - every one of us.”
